Signing out in a bit, i got to take loads of pictures as usual- still chilling to be a brand face model *wink*,  did sewing lessons – thanks to Daystar Leadership Academy DSAP so my hoLO brand is more vibrant at the moment (expect more stuff in the new year).

THE STOLEN PHONE

Cast: Lamii (Phone Owner)
Mr. A (Good Samaritan)
Mr. B (Baba Olowo)
Location: Ketu, Lagos (around fruit market area)
Date: Wednesday 29, 2014

As they say bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people…This is not to choose the category I fall into but I believe things happen for reasons; sometimes we know them while at other we don’t. Whichever way, we must move on, so help us God.

The day started well and after the usual routine I left the house I think around “to eight”… here I was seated in a Keke Napep (Tricycle)... Usually the back seat carries 3 passengers and in this case I was the first person awaiting the other 2. The first (Good Samaritan) enters to my right shifting me to the middle while the 2nd Mr. B (Baba Olowo) came in seconds or so later…

As we moved along, suddenly Baba Olowo’s money – 50s and 20s started flying in the air and moi and Good Samaritan decides to savage the situation by helping him so the ‘monies’ doesn’t fly out. After the whole scenario, all 3 of us sat back and Baba Olowo who was oozing alcohol got back his money haven accomplished his mission …  Few minutes later, they both alight at Toll gate.
Are you still with me??? …. Good you are

Getting to the office, I arranged my bag ‘cos I scattered it earlier in a bid to get my i.d card out of my ‘lady’s bag’- that bag was really full o, don’t ask me what was inside sha… Anyways, I arranged my bag and alas! It dawned on me that what I just arranged didn’t have my BB phone... I didn’t want to assume the worse so I checked every compartment in the bag behold it was nowhere to be found…  I called the line immediately just to be sure I didn’t leave the phone at home, guess what? It was ringing but no one picked. I called my sister to check, she said it wasn’t home… At this time I had to do a mental check... I cast my mind back to my movement from Home to the office… chai!!! I have just been played by Baba Olowo and Good Samaritan aka ore baba olowo… seriously I felt so stupid like “haba! Dis na Lagos na. Gurl, you shuda known”…

Really azzzzzzzinnnnn REALYY I felt STOO-PEED … *smh for me*
Sha, I accepted my fate, prayed about it..yeah! I prayed that my contact shudnt be used for anything evil, I moved on with hope…

Later on I narrated the story to my friend who called the line again, this time *they* picked it twice but no one said anything- it was just background music, noise and all sort…

Did I learn a vital lesson? Trust me I did …
  • Learn to close my hand bag (that’s a huge task though)
  • Mind my own business – *right hand on chest* so help me God (honestly).

As I await my new phone which I believe is going to be a gift (A tusher phone by the way) and I’ll prolly gist you about it *wink* now smiling*, I’m just going to wrap this up by saying this is Lagos so be careful who you lend a helping hand to irrespective of the area.

Enjoy the month of February… I pray it brings you joy, peace, laughter, and prosperity.

ACCORDING TO PAUL MARTINELLI

Paul Martinelli
Here I am again with “plenty words”. Really if I don’t share with you what I’m about to, I will consider myself a very selfish person…

Anyways, it wasn’t Church as usual today as we had a guest minister or lemme just say a Motivational speaker in person of Paul Martinelli: Internationally acclaimed speaker, trainer and coach, the president of John Maxwell’s international team (http://www.paulmartinelli.net).

I’m just going to cut to the chase on the points he gave on what I didn’t catch the heading ( I’m not sure if it was his fone*lol* or I was talking at t the time- forgive me)but I bet it has to do with success… They are 10 in number and I’m going to write here what I jotted down so here we go:
    1. HAVE A BURNING DESIRE. This means having an all-consuming obsession. This is basically falling in love with your dream. When you fall in love with your dream, you become committed to it.

      2. WHEN YOU SEE IT, YOU MUST ACT! This brings you into a state of awareness of the next step. It makes you ask the right questions e.g will this move me into the right direction? This step needs prayer so you must connect to God.

      3. You have to find your YES. Here is a relentless pursuit of the people, condition and circumstances necessary to fulfill your dream. People will probably tell you NO because a lot of time your dream seems impossible , it can’t be done but you must find your YES and forge ahead. Be in relentless pursuit of yes. Quit focusing on what you don’t want.

    4. DON’T NEGOTIATE WITH YOUR DREAM. There is always a price to pay and you must be willing to pay it. ‘Whatever it is you want’. Whenever you negotiate with you dream, you lose.

    5. YOU’VE GOT TO BE CREATIVE. Focus on your possibilities not you limitations and remember number 2 is key in this area.

    6. CHALLENGE YOUR OLD BELIEF (HABIT). Apart from the fact that a lot of us have been programmed to do some things in a certain way, we have groomed ourselves also and some habits will really not take us anywhere near success… Irrespective of our background and country, we are spiritual beings so things should work in our favour as children of God when we apply the rules so to speak. It means you shouldn’t say because someone is in America things will work better for them there NOPE… you are a spiritual being so you’ve got to believe that and get going.

    7. YOU MUST TAKE THE FIRST STEP WITHOUT KNOWING THE OTHERS. This is no strange talk at all because sometimes we analyse to the extent that the analyses cripples the dreams; in our minds the vision weight us down. We must realize that knowing how to do it doesn’t produce result BUT knowing WHY does. The vision should reveal the how- Never allow the how to determine the vision.

    8. REMEMBER THE LAW OF SACRIFICE. In this case, you must give something of lesser value out to get something of bigger value. It’s not about letting go but about making decision i.e What is of higher value- We must remember what we feed grow while the others die automatically. Selah
  9.
Paul @GLA, Ikoyi, (26/01/2014)
SEE YOURSELF IN POSSESSION OF THE PERFECTION you claim to want in your life (area of significance). Here he quoted Proverbs 29:18

  10.  CELEBRATE THE VICTORIES ALONG THE WAY. Celebrating the victories helps strengthen the purpose and this leads to expansion.
When you do this you remember it’s a journey and you are moving into the proverbial promise land flowing with milk and honey.

Before these 10 pointers, he did mention that
·
        * Life is a fight for territory (thoughts are very important and what you believe about yourself is crucial to what you want to be in life)

     * Awareness comes with responsibilities
·
    * You can’t out-perform your belief. What you belief becomes you.
·
        * Hearing something over and over becomes true. Don’t feed yourself with trash and don’t allow anyone feed you with it either.

Alright, that is it. My Sunday Service in 10 pointers. Special thanks to my Pastor, Wale Adefarasin and Mrs. Lilian Adegbola and her team for bringing Paul Martinelli,, and my friend Enene for the picture *wink*.

Hope you had a great time reading. Please spread the word.

PROFILE: HENRISOUL

Identifying with good news/things brings joy I must say so I’m pleased to write about this young man Ifeanyi Henry Orji better known as Henrisoul. I’m not sure what year we started talking but honestly his case’s that of someone so humble with a childlike spirit and you’ll easily get stuck to.

Anyways, we had spoken first of all on business levels, gave him a few contacts and that’s the beginning of our friendship. Of course BB was a great avenue to reach out and share ideas and for a long time we did that until finally after a year or almost we met at ‘Holyholla’s Unplugged’ in Dec. 2013 … of course I felt like a big sister meeting her long lost brother at the airport after such a long time. Trust me, I enjoyed the attention. lol

Reading his profile, I’m convinced writing this long story is a big deal … Like some people we all know, he’s had his share of grass to grace story having lived in uncompleted buildings, did printing jobs at Somolu etcetera etcetera…

Earlier in his career, he did his first demo with funds from his street hustle and by divine orchestration he says, he got the attention of Kennis Music boss Kenny Ogungbe who gave him his first media exposure at Raypower fm… God bless you baba Keke *wink*

Today Henrisoul is fast becoming a household name and this non-conformist stands tall in his message as we have seen with his singles Blow My Mind, Sacrifice, Badman and well accepted high-life ‘Your Love’.
His debut video “Blow My Mind” shot by ace cinematographer Clarence Peters enjoyed and is still enjoying massive airplay on both local and foreign music channels. This landed him on BET’s 106&Park. Yeah! you can shout Hallelujah!

He’s so far got a few nods and of course won a few awards…
·
2013 Nigeria Gospel Music Award nominee for Artiste of the Year
·         2013 Nigeria Gospel Music Award nominee for Song of the Year,

He has since worked with some of Nigeria’s finest including Kenny Kore, Bouqui, Gaise, Annie, Sammy Okposo, Samklef, Provabs, Lamboghinny, Freeborn, Jaywon among others and would like to work with Tuface, MaliMusic, Kirk Franklin and Lecrae Moore in the nearest future.

The Fiiiiiiiiiiine young undergraduate has pitched his tent with HHQ- Heavenly Heights Quarters Management and so far it’s been a jolly good ride and job well done by TeamHHQ I must say.
