MOVING ON inspired by Fabrice Muamba

MOVING ON, sometimes or should I say most times is not the easiest thing to do. Also it is the last thing anyone wants to hear, say or do especially when at the receiving end.
As I read the statement put out by Fabrice Muamba, the Bolton Wanderers’ midfielder who collapsed during the match between his team and Tottenham Hotspur on the 17th of March, 2012, I was almost in tears to see how much appreciation came from the 24 year-old young man.
After his cardiac arrest Fabrice Muamba  stayed in the hospital for four weeks and the doctors said his recovery was a miracle.
Below is the statement:
Since suffering my heart attack and being discharged from hospital, I have remained utterly positive in the belief I could one day resume my playing career and play for Bolton Wanderers once again.
As part of my on-going recovery, last week I travelled to Belgium to seek further medical advice from a leading cardiologist. But the news I received was obviously not what I had hoped it would be and it means I am now announcing my retirement from professional football. While the news is devastating, I have much to be thankful for. I thank God that I am alive and I pay tribute once again to the members of the medical team who never gave up on me.
I would also like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my career and the Bolton fans who have been incredible. I am blessed to have the support of my family and friends at this time."

I love the game and count myself very lucky to have been able to play at the highest level.
Well, while some of us may think “oh well he’s not Messi, Ronaldo, David Beckham, RVP, Theirry Henry and all the world football headliners” we should see him as someone who has a second chance to 'life', so should we see ourselves every day as we awake to a new day.
Yesterday may have been bad; TODAY is a new day to probably get it right or maybe get started with that dream of yours. Little drops, remember they makes a mighty ocean.
Bolton’s manager Coyle says of him “We know that he will go on to achieve great things and within all this disappointment, the most important thing is that he is here, alive, today.

Yes! The most important thing is that he is here, alive, today- think the same- You are here today and ALIVE, so go ahead, DO THAT THING but make sure it’s the right thing- MOVE ON. *wik*

You will agree with me that gospel music has found its root in Nigeria.

With the likes of Sammy Okposo, Bouqui, Larah George, Infinity of the famous Olori Oko song, and others repping to the fullest, the territory seems to be getting bigger, also with influx of ‘the new breed; a generation of new comers taking their spot. One of them is Chidozie Ozigbu  aka True O’zee, a Port Harcourt based gospel artiste who doubles as a singer and rapper.

True O'zee, came out loud last year with his first single "Agidigba" and need I say the video of the same song was directed by ace cinematographer DJ Tee.

As the official release of his just-completed debut album "Totally True" draws closer, he has put out a new single "Turn By Turn" which features front line gospel rapper Bouqui.

The song is good on heavy lyrical content as with his other songs you’ll get to hear later. It’s a blend of 3 languages; he drops the verse in igbo and english language while the catchy chorus is sung in Yoruba, pidgin and English language.  Bouqui comes up with her vibrant energy dropping her vibes too.
He says God alone is his source of infinite inspiration & for that reason his songs are heavy with messages!

Turn by turn chorus will get you dancing and trust me before long you’d be going all out on all the verses.

I presume it will be on heavy rotation for a long while; call it DJ’s delight and very soon VJs' because I already have a picture of the video in mind.

By the way I’m looking forward to True O’zee’s debut album as well *wink*
