In ‘our’ world of young
and talented lots comes Okechukwu Dickson aka Okey Sokay.
Okey
who hails from Afikpo North, Eboyin State, Nigeria was born on the 27th
of July.
He is endowed with such great talents such that he works as a Software Engineer, singer, song writer, Multi-talented instrumentalist, producer/audio engineer and part-so many other things… In fact, I am tempted to call him Jack of all trade, master of all *wink*
Having
projected his brand into the industry with his debut single, "soke",
he then followed up with an online release of another single,
"Ojasope".
Apart from working on more singles for his debut album, he is undertaking production jobs for fellow artists.
His latest effort among many singles to be released is "Repete", which is the
Yoruba word for 'plenty' or 'abundance'. The lyrics of which is a fusion of local rhythm and an infectious bassline. The hook makes this joint a great melodic groove that will soon become an anthem.
So i’ll advise y’all watch out for Okey Sokay but for now let’s enjoy “Repete’’ and please leave a comment- let me know what you think about the song.
