PROFILE: OLUDAYO OLUJEKUN

Oludayo Olujekun is an HND Accounting graduate of Ogun State Polytechnic. He has worked
with various Organisation including the Redeemed Evangelical Mission (zonal Headquarters-west), RCCG (Christ Church Parish), Ogun State Hospitals Management Board, One Management Integrated Services and Toford International as creative director/brands consultant before going on to start his clothing line.

He has been involved in fashion for close to eight years working on a ready to wear line. His clothes has a western appeal and this he says is deliberate because he sees it as a void in the industry which needed to be filled in terms of basic clothing in general since everyone seem to be doing the ‘African thing’.

The company aims at making each piece of clothing as unique and reasonably priced. It has a ready to wear line called c2 which comprises of, T-shirts, Pants and accessories with a wide array of designs which also has a vintage appeal to it. On the c2 brand, is 'my avatar', which is the new range of limited edition tees carrying the customers’ avatar. He says the cartoon-like representation of a person is called an avatar, so it was just appropriate to call the range 'my avatar tees' i.e a cartoon-like representation of the customer on the tees.

c2 also renders bespoke services for customers who want particular fabrics and styles done. Lastly, the company makes specialized clothing in form of costumes and corporate merchandise or memorabilia for individuals, groups or corporate organisations.

Dayo is in charge of all designs; he supervises all aspects of production, from the quality control to packaging.

In addition to working on his own clothing range, he works as a Creative Director for two other labels namely; Fabuleux which is a premium Jeans Line for high end customers and Jesu Kristi- a street wear line inspired by the work and personality of Jesus Christ.

His role models are his father, Pastor and Russel Simmons

On 5 Avatars he would love to have on a tee, dead or alive: Jay-z, Mark Zukerberg, Oprah Winfrey, Toyin Subiar and Michael Jackson.

As per future projections, he expects the brand's growth; to have c2 items in selected stores in and around Nigeria, Africa and the world.
